How do I book a sitter?
To book a sitter casually - use our 'casual babysitting request form.'
Wanting to access a sitter more often? Simply become a member on our website by paying an annual subscription fee. Then, once you're a member, use our 'request a sitter' page to request babysitting. From there, we'll match you to a sitter who suits your needs (ie experienced with babies, or a great cook!), and you'll receive an email with their profile and details confirming!
How do I pay my sitter? What is the hourly rate?
Our sitters choose their own rate, between $20-$30 depending on their experience and qualifications. If you are working within a certain budget, do not hesitate to let us know and we can accommodate your needs. At the end of your session, you'll receive a payment link via Stripe in your emails to pay your babysitter (no more cash dashes!)

Can I book my sitter directly?
Our sitters know not to go behind our back - as this is a breach of our business ethos. Of course keep in touch with your sitter directly during your time out! But please book our sitters through only our website. See our t's and c's for more.
What are the fees involved?
Wanting casual babysitting? Simply pay a $25 booking fee to secure your sitter. Then pay your sitter their hourly rate (between $20-$30) via a payment link from Stripe in your emails.

Needing a sitter more often? Want to ditch the booking fee? Enjoy access to our network of sitters with an annual Bayside Babysitters membership for only $350 a year. That's less than $8 per booking!

Needing regular help during the school term? Secure a sitter for $200 per term with our school term sitter subscription. Then pay your sitter their hourly rate (between $20-$30) via a payment link from Stripe in your emails.​
I'm a B.B member, but haven't used my 4 sessions this month. Do they carry over?
Unfortunately, unused babysitting sessions do not roll over to the next month. Each month, you have up to 4 sessions available, and any that aren’t used will not accumulate. This ensures that every member has fair access to the available slots.
I booked a casual babysitter but now need to cancel - do I get a refund?
We understand that life happens, so our cancellation policy is as follows;
If a family cancels with more than 24hrs of notice - they will be refunded the full booking fee amount of $25. If a family cancels with less than 24hrs notice before their booking, they forfeit their booking and will not be entitled to a refund.
I need regular help during the school term but also on nights out! What's the best option for me?
In order to engage a sitter for regular school term help (after-school pickup, drop offs at after school activities etc.), you must become a 'school term sitter' member. If wanting to access a sitter on weekends casually as well, simply use our online casual booking system.
